4-Year Cycle Argues for USD Strength Through Year-End
- Price peaks in the USD appear to approximate a 4-year cycle.
- Similar to the Presidential Cycle that is present in equity markets.
- Cycle captured significant peaks in the DXY in 1985, 1989, 1994, 2002 and 2005.
- Minor highs were registered in 1974, 1977, 1981 and 1998.
- Last major high for the DXY was in November 2005.
- 4-year cycle indicates that the next significant potential high could take place in or around November of this year.
