Post US – consolidation in the DXY index

The US dollar (DXY Index) rebounded overnight on declining risk appetite. Short-term momentum indicators are mixed, which suggests further whippy trading in thin liquidity market. The recent downside in the DXY may be attributed to recent positive consumer and labour-market data, coupled with recent remarks in the FOMC minutes that the recent decline in the USD has been orderly.
